Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling (2014) and Bachelor’s in Public Relations/Communications (2011) from SUNY Plattsburgh.

Biography

Alicia Gorman is an EMDR-trained Licensed Mental Health Counselor who blends a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach to empower clients to create lasting growth and change in their daily lives and relationships. She believes that developing self-understanding and compassion, along with practical skills, helps clients become their most authentic selves and reach their personalized therapeutic goals. She especially appreciates the therapeutic benefits of mindfulness and exploring the mind-body connection, and she has developed a passion for helping clients heal from trauma and reclaim their lives and unique purpose. 

Before joining the NCBM team in 2022, Alicia gained experience in other North Country outpatient clinical care settings, including Behavioral Health Services North (BHSN) and Citizen Advocates North Star Behavioral Health (NSBH).

Alicia's bachelor's degree was in Communication Studies with a minor in Psychology.
