Biography

Jamie Jacobs is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with specialized clinical experience supporting youth, adolescents, young adults, and families across regional school and hospital systems. Jamie has completed comprehensive school-based therapy and crisis intervention work through BHSN at Ausable Elementary School and Saranac Middle High, alongside an embedded psychiatric clinical internship at CVPH. Jamie’s practice is deeply collaborative and trauma-informed, focused on treating complex and high-risk psychopathology. Therapeutic sessions are customized using a combination of play therapy, bibliotherapy, Person-Centered therapy, CBT, and motivational interviewing.

Jamie takes a relational approach to therapy, recognizing the importance of building a strong therapeutic relationship as the foundation for meaningful change. She tailors each session to the unique needs, strengths, developmental level, and goals of every client, integrating evidence-based interventions to provide individualized, collaborative care.
