EducationSkylar Hunyadi is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who combines evidence-based practices with a warm, collaborative approach to encourage meaningful change. She began her career as a school-based clinician with BHSN, where she provided individual, group, family, and crisis intervention services to children ages 4–18 and their caregivers.
BiographyToday, Sky works with adults (18+) and has a special interest in supporting clients through young adulthood, life transitions at all stages, anxiety, depression, grief, disordered eating and body image concerns, people-pleasing patterns, and building meaningful community and connection. She draws from an integrative therapeutic approach, incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based interventions, Solution-Focused Therapy, and bibliotherapy and expressive writing techniques.
Personal LifeIn addition to her clinical work, Sky is a freelance writer specializing in mental health and wellness. Outside of the therapy office, she enjoys reading, exercising, spending time with her three cats, and creating collages.
