BiographyCarmen Chroback is an internationally trained Licensed Clinical Social Worker with R-psychotherapy privilege who brings over two decades of extensive clinical expertise to her practice. She has been with North Country Behavioral Medicine since June 2019. Prior to this, she spent 15 years as a Senior Mental Health Clinician at the Clinton County Mental Health Clinic, where she developed and ran Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) skills training groups and provided clinical supervision to student interns and staff. In addition, Carmen has served as a Crisis Team Clinician for CVPH Medical Center since 2007, completing acute mental health evaluations in the Emergency Care Center. Her teaching background includes serving as an Adjunct Lecturer in the Sociology and Criminal Justice Department at SUNY Plattsburgh. Her integrated framework utilizes Attachment Theory, Bowen Family Therapy, and Structural Family Therapy, with advanced training in EMDR (with a specialization in grief and loss), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR).
